Confession: I only like football games when I am there to watch them in person.
I do watch the Super Bowl, but I really only pay attention to the commercials and the half-time show. I don’t have a team that I am a diehard fan of (I do root for the Baltimore Ravens, though). But there is something about being in the crowd during a football game that is so fun and exciting.
This past week, my son and I took part in one of our little traditions- we watched the opening parade for the county fair. My son’s favorite part of the fair is when the people from the various floats and organizations throw candy into the crowds.
Considering the fact that almost all of them throw candy, you can guess that my son is always THRILLED with a parade.

I didn’t have many family traditions growing up -at least not many that I recall. I want to change that for my son, so I have been actively trying to establish fun and memorable traditions that he can look back on fondly as he gets older. One simple tradition is that at least once a month we have breakfast for dinner.

My son loves anything and everything to do with those goofy, yellow, banana-loving creatures. Aside
from the latest Despicable Me movie, he has seen every movie and mini movie out there…several times. He also has a TON of Minions toys – thanks to his godfather and McDonald’s.

I will never forget the time when a complete stranger committed a random act of kindness for me.
I was in the drive-thru of McDonald’s, looking at the menu, trying to figure out what I could order with the eight dollars and change I had in my hand.
