Confession #1: I love reading a good blog traffic report or blog income report. I find them to be educational and inspirational. I especially love the ones that go really in-depth about what they have been doing that gets results versus the thing they tried that fell flat. A few weekends ago, I was given the opportunity to attend an event called Arkansas Women Bloggers University. I had attended the event the previous year, and it was a highly enjoyable and intense experience, so I was thoroughly looking forward to being able to attend this year. However, my finances were not cooperating (the stubborn thing that it is, lol). I was hoping that I would get a last minute freelance project that would cover the costs.
The time is now 3:15 am Central time and I am still awake. Why? Because I was watching a Google+ hangout that is all about creating a freelance business plan. I first started blogging in September of 2010. When I wrote my first post I had about a month left before Christian was scheduled to arrive (little did I know that he would arrive nearly 2 weeks early – you can read about his early arrival here) and my intention was for my blog to be a sort of online diary. This is going to be a quick one. I participated in the Biannual Blogathon bash this year. The first two days were great. I completed some challenges, spent 12 hours working on my blog, and learned quite a bit. However, Saturday night my son started vomiting, and hours later, so did I. The stomach virus made its way into our house. Bah! And it was not pleasant. Even now, I feel horrible. Hence the brevity.
