juggling_mom1Ever since before I had Christian I would hear people talking about the importance of having a daily routine. A schedule that you stuck to every single day. And it sounds so boring to me. Who wants to do the same thing every day at the exact same time? At least that’s what I say to myself to justify the fact that I don’t have a schedule. I still believe that you should be flexible, but the fact of the matter is that with all of the things that I have to do during the day, I DO need some kind of fixed schedule. Maybe not a to the minute schedule. Or even to the hours. But have blocks of time each day where I focus on certain tasks. So what I want to do is a bit of experimenting this week. The rest of the day I am pretty much going to wing it. But every day for the rest of the week I want to try out a new schedule to see what works best for us.

The general tasks that I NEED to do on a daily basis are:
1. Quality time with Christian
2. Alone time
3. Work on my It Works business
4. Work on my Ghostwriting articles
5. Cooking
6. Cleaning
7. Exercise
8. Offline networking
9. Blogging
10. Coursework

On a weekly basis I need to:
1. Have at least 3 playdates or trips to the park so Christian can interact with other kids
2. Line up more freelance work
3. Go grocery shopping to stock up on essentials (fresh fruit & veggies, etc.)

With this being said, sometime today I will come up with a schedule for tomorrow and then commit to seeing it through. Tomorrow night I will see how much I accomplished and make any necessary adjustments. Hopefully, by the end of the week I will have a schedule that works for both of us.

Now, I’d like to know more about you guys? What is your daily routine like? Does it change on weekends? Are you a stickler or are you pretty flexible? Please comment below. 🙂

I am a 29 year old single mommy to a beautiful boy born in October 2010. In addition to this awesome role, I also have a home-based business and am a freelance writer. All with the goal of being able to stay at home with my son. No 9 to 5 for this mama! I am weeks away from obtaining my Master's in Educational Psychology and hope to obtain a teaching position at some point in the future. Preferably online. Lol. I also plan to homeschool my son.

I'm pretty laidback (seemingly shy even) but only when you first meet me. After getting to know me, the truth is revealed that I am awkward, goofy, have a sometimes morbid sense of humor, love laughing and making people laugh, and have a sincere hatred of any type of dishonesty or intolerance. With that being said, I am a Christian and give all the glory for EVERYTHING to God.
