My Review

I was so excited to be given the opportunity to review this DVD. Previously we had received the Spanish version of this language immersion program and Christian loved it. He enjoyed dancing and trying to sing along with the music. I enjoyed that he was being exposed to another language in a fun, immersive way. This DVD proved to be equally as good.

-This 30 minute program is very interactive, with games, skits, and songs sprinkled throughout. One thing that I did appreciate was that the script for this one was the same as the script from the Spanish DVD. That way, Christian will be able to make connections eventually between the different languages that are used to expressed the same things.

I also enjoyed the fact that the program is 100% immersive. There is no English spoken at all throughout the entire 30 minutes. Experts recommend complete immersion as being the best way to learn a second language. I also liked the fact thatthey have French subtitles so i can see what they are saying and try to talk along with it. They do, however, provide a pamphlet inside the DVD that provides a translation so that you can practice the vocabulary in your day to day life. That is another thing that I appreciated — the vocabulary that they use are things that you would use on a regular basis.

Overall, Christian and I both thoroughly enjoy not only this DVD, but the other programs in the series that we have had the pleasure of trying — including the French cd. I highly recommend them.
