This is something I have to keep in my heart at all times. I don’t think it is saying that your child will be exactly as you are. But they watch us and learn from us. They pick up on our habits and behaviors. SO it’s up to us to be good role models for them.

There are so many quotes that send out this same message:
“Be the change you want to see”
“Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it”
“Monkey see, monkey do”. Lol.

Either way, we can’t expect for our children to be one way if we are behaving the complete opposite. I want my son to be God-fearing, honest, positive-minded, kind, caring, generous, passionate, hardworking, loyal, and goal-oriented. So it’s up to me to show him how by being those things myself.

It isn’t easy. I am human. Prone to failure. I have my issues. But I work hard to not only acknowledge them, but to work on changing them. And hopefully, Christian will bear the fruits of my labor.

Hey, I’m Tiffany! I’m a single mom to a teenage boy, living in Central Arkansas with our two cats: Berlioz, the belly-rub-loving shadow, and Zenitsu, our adorable little terror who keeps life interesting. I work from home, homeschool, and juggle about 47 mental tabs at once thanks to ADHD.

I started Single Mommy Warrior to talk honestly about life as a single mom. The good. The hard. The funny. The parts people usually gloss over. Parenting alone. Working from home. Dating. Healing. Trying again. Learning as I go.

Professionally, I’m a copywriter who helps women grow their businesses with honest, ethical, personality-driven copy. Personally, I’m a geeky, book-loving, anime-watching human who still believes dream houses should come with libraries and secret rooms.

This isn’t a “perfect mom” blog. It’s a real one. And you’re welcome here.
