Last week, I was hit by the realization that Christmas is mere weeks away. Which means that the new year is not too far behind.
How did that happen?!
As November has been passing by, I’ve been more and more concerned about making sure I don’t make the same productivity and time management mistakes as I did this year. I need a planner and I need it to be one that I will stick with.

I was recently invited to read a free advanced reader copy of Katherine Reay’s latest novel, The Austen Escape. A few years ago, I read (and fell in love with) her debut novel, Dear Mr. Knightley (check out my review here). So, needless to say, I was excited about the opportunity.

This year, Christian and I participated in a fun campaign hosted by Tyson Foods. We were tasked with a challenge: come up with Halloween twists on some of our favorite Tyson products.
The result? A menagerie of spooky-yet-tasty appetizers for a neighborhood party.

Bat Wings: Tyson Any’tizers BBQ Wings
Mummy Dogs- Ball Park Hot Dogs wrapped in a crescent roll (we also had a corn dog version)
Spider Web Chicken- Tyson Any’tizers Chicken Fries and a tasty sauce
Graveyard Nuggets- Tyson Chicken Nuggets Dipped in our fave bbq sauce
Monster Toes- Hillshire Farms Lit’l Smokies with a dot of bbq sauce for the creep factor

It’s Fall, yall! *happy dance*
I know it’s technically been Fall for a while, but here in Arkansas, you never know if it’s going to be 90 degrees all the way through October. I, for one, can’t tolerate summer. The smothering heat. The mosquitoes.
