I was recently invited by a friend named Jessica Muffley to participate in a group on Facebook called Super Fun projects. The group was set up to be place for people to come together and find the DIY projects to make their home beautiful. Well, the project that she shared with us today was too cute not to share. Seriously, just look at it:
Just in time for Spring (which needs to hurry up and get here)! Here’s how you can create your own garden hose wreath, step by step (As Told By Jessica). Enjoy!
What you will need:
1 Garden Hose – I used a 7 ft. hose(any longer would’ve been too heavy)
Silk Flowers
Twist Ties
Garden Gloves
12 ft Ribbon(I used this up completely but as you will see I like a lot of ribbon)
Took me a couple of tries but I finally got the hose sitting the way I wanted it.Remember: It doesn’t have to look pretty. It’ll all be covered up!Securing the flowers to the hose. Use another twist tie to do this.
As you can see, my husband’s robot wire ties made a surprise appearance!! — Sorry hun, this robot was destined for greater things!!
I chose these beautiful gardening gloves from Dollar General and based all of the color choices off of them. These are just so gorgeous, I almost got 2 pair–I may go back.
Securely attach the gloves with the ribbon. As you can see I love length on my ribbon. If you don’t, you may have some of the ribbon left over.I had to experiment because of the peep-hole I have on my front door, the initial look was better but it would’ve rendered my peep-hole completely useless—no. (Also, please ignore my reindeer door hook, I’m using my pretty one for my son’s door)All done!!! Now post pictures of your creations!!!
How cute is that! I tell you, my arts and crafts never turn out quite like the picture, but Jessica did a great job of executing this project with a bit of her own (and her hubby’s) flair. Love it!
