2016 Reading Challenge

One thing about me…I LOVE to read. Always have. Always will. I am the person that always has at least one book within arm’s reach. In my purse. In my car. In the bathroom. There is not a single room in our house that doesn’t have a miniature library in it.

Sad fact: I haven’t been able to read as much as I used to pre-mommy hood. I mean, I read a bit every day. In the tub. That is my “mommy time”. But, let’s be real – tub time only lasts for 15-20 minutes if I’m lucky.

I am determined to change this! At the beginning of the year, I committed to reading 52 books this year. I immediately fell behind, lol. Well, now I am getting back in the game with the Popsugar Reading Challenge.

It seems like a really fun challenge. The primary goal is to read books that you may not have normally read. To expand your bookie horizons. It’s sort of like a reading scavenger hunt. There is a list of different kinds of books to read. It’s your job to find books that fit each description. Some people fill out the list up front and then try to work their way through it. Other people sort of go along, bit by bit, crossing things off the list. Either way works! You can easily keep track of the books you finish (and what you thought of them) on Goodreads.

Ok, so…here we go. Here is the list of books I will read this year. Some are books I have already read (some several times, like Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which is my favorite in the HP series), but most will be new picks. I’d love to check out your lists as well. 🙂

*Note: Each of the titles I’ve decided to read is clickable. Click on them to read info about each book on Goodreads. 🙂
